The usual form is to send out invitations about six weeks before the event and wedding invitations embody a central premise of the wedding itself: the public recognition of a private commitment. Wedding invitations have retained their original form over the years and traditional style invitations are usually printed on heavy white or cream card with engraved script. But you may wish to project your individual style on the invitations and then need to start thinking about what designs you might like or might suit your wedding theme best.
